OUR STORY
We are Donatella and Simona, two Italian designers who both graduated in Architecture from the University of Florence nearly two decades ago. Although we shared mutual friends, our paths never crossed in Tuscany.
Fate, however, had other plans. Nearly twenty years later, in California, we finally met and discovered our shared passions. This serendipitous encounter led us to establish Florentine Design, and from that moment on, we have been inseparable.
Together, we blend a unique synergy of qualities: organization, creativity, a steadfast focus on our goals, and meticulous attention to detail. Our connection is profound, allowing us to communicate seamlessly and understand each other intuitively. This perfect harmony has become the cornerstone of our successful partnership.

DONATELLA MAZZINI
Principal Designer
Donatella Mazzini started her career working at architecture firms in Milan, Italy. After moving to California in 2007, she fell in love with interior design. Working with several talented professionals over the years, she gained expertise in all aspects of the design process, from spatial planning to materials selection and custom detailing.
Inspired by the core principles of Italian design—a blend of functionality and elegance—she founded her own firm in 2017, offering both residential and commercial design services.
While the homes she works on and the businesses she helps shape are always top of mind, Donatella also enjoys playing the drums and traveling with her husband and two teenage sons.
SIMONA CORRADINI
Principal Designer
Simona Corradini is an Italian Designer with over 20 years of experience in high-end commercial and residential interiors.
She managed store design and construction for the Prada group and Apple throughout Europe while living in Italy, London, NY and the Bay Area.
She brings to Florentine Design her cross-industry project management and design experience, passion for beautiful interiors and artistic talent.
Beyond the design world, she loves to sing and make tortellini from scratch for her husband and 2 young sons.
